The nursery was most recently visited in August 2016 by Ofsted. Ofsted is a government department whose regulation of provision is designed to give parents an expert and independent assessment of how well a registered provider is performing so that they may make informed choices about early year’s provision or childcare for their children.

Following this visit, the provision was rated Good with the Effectiveness of the leadership and management, Quality of teaching, learning and assessment, Personal development, behaviour and welfare, and Outcomes for children all also being rated as Good.

The inspector noted some extremely positive features about our provision and some of the highlights are as follows:

  • ‘Children settle well and have happy, nurturing relationships with staff. Staff know and value children as individuals and help to build their confidence.’
  • ‘Children have good early writing, reading and language skills and learn valuable skills to support their future learning’
  • ‘Staff provide successful ways for parents to support their children’s ongoing development.’
  • ‘The manager provides effective supervision of staff to identify and support their need, including training.’
  • ‘Children make good progress.’
